One Sentence Wednesday: Spectacles

One Sentence Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Rebeca at Books and Messy Buns.  I discovered this One Sentence Wednesdayfeature only recently, and as I don’t currently have a Wednesday feature, thought it would be fun to add to the blog!

  • Pick up the book you’re currently reading (or read last)
  • Think about what it made you feel so far
  • Describe it in one sentence
  • Share your sentence, book title and author with the book community

I’ve been reading Sue Perkins’ memoir, Spectacles, and there’s really only one way to sum it up:

I’ve been belly laughing since page one!

26122044Sue Perkins first caught my eye when I started watching The Great British Bake Off this year, as one half of the witty and quirky duo who hosted the show.

When I found out she had a memoir, I was intrigued to read her backstory; turns out she is an excellent writer as well as a presenter!
