Bout of Books Read-a-Thon

Bout of Books

So, I’m attempting the Bout of Books Read-a-Thon again.  Again, you ask, but I don’t remember the first attempt?!  That’s because last time went so disastrously badly that I sheepishly swept all evidence under the rug (in other words, I only read a few chapters of The Trees).  But I am back, and more eager than ever to knock some books off my TBR.

The read-a-thon runs from 22nd to 28th August, and I’m determined to do at least double the amount of reading I usually do!

My Very Optimistic Read-a-thon Goals

  • The Road to Nerdvana by L-J Clements – This came out a week or so ago and I’ve been saving it for the read-a-thon.  I haven’t even peeked at it, and after my Q&A with author L-J Clements, I’m so excited about reading it!
  • The Trees by Ali Shaw – I’ve been reading this book since the last read-a-thon, and I love it but I am just completely lacking enthusiasm for it by this point.  I’m not aiming to finish it this week, but I’d still like to read another big chunk.Finish The Trees
  • Norwegian Wood by Murakami – I want to power through August’s Words & Geeks book this week, as I’m dying to do a ‘Top Murakami Quotes’ post before the end of the month!
  • Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard – I started this book shortly before Sarah J. Maas stole my heart (and stomped on it), and since then YA Fantasy has shot up my list of go-to genres, and now sits firmly at the top.  From what I know of this book already, I think it will easily become a favourite.

Yay!! Glad you’re joining. I haven’t put my TBR together quite yet but about to start working on it! Nothing like the last minute.

Thank you! I hope to do a bit better than last time haha. I look forward to seeing your TBR (better late than never, right?!) – good luck for the read-a-thon!
